Make sure the sound is of high quality. Lighting, framing and composition are also just as important.

- Become a better speaker: I’ve learned if you are a good public speaker, you can be good on camera.
I spent a lot of time at Toastmasters (public speaking class) improving my speech, as well as making videos on topics I was learning about and through practice, I eventually found myself becoming a great communicator.
Even if you do not upload and publish your videos, just practise talking to the camera often and you too will be a great video content creator.
- Quality: I always invest in the latest iPhone and their camera as well as microphones just get better and better.

This keeps them “hooked” and paying attention to your video until the end.
You could start a video saying something like “This tweak I’m about to show you will increase your video engagement by at least 50%” 🤯

Firstly, don’t try to overcomplicate the video with all the bells and whistles. Keeping a message simple will always win.

Being in your home environment is fine, and we all understand that we live in these spaces. But take down the washing that is hanging up and try to avoid the messy kids’ play area. Yes, these are real-life scenes, but unless that’s the topic you’re discussing, you don’t want the distraction of someone looking at your underwear as it hangs up to dry.
Be Comfortable
If holding a cup of coffee makes you relaxed, then go for it. Similarly, if you have a favourite chair, sit in that. One of the beauties of being in your home environment rather than a studio is that it’s more relaxed, so use that to your advantage.
